About Us

Legacy Quarter Horses has been a long time in the planning. With our irons in other fires it was delayed till the resources were in place to raise the quality of animal that would be worthy of a commercial venture. We are clear in the type of animal we want to raise and that being of a Cutting (Cow) or Reining  discipline. Our pedigrees all reflect (and in most cases are right on the individuals papers) some of the greatest "original" bloodlines from the past.

Leo, Leo San, Mr San Peppy, Peppy San, Peppy San Badger, Doc Bar, Docs Hickory, High Brow Hickory, Poco Bueno and the great Poco Lena. In our minds this is where the Cow Horse really started and there is where we want to continue you (our potential customers) on from. The name Legacy Quarter Horses was chosen because we believe that all of the greatest Sires and Dams have come from a handful of these "Superhorses" who have left these offspring to become their own legacy.

Our legacy is to capture many of the old and "Foundation"bloodlines and keep them alive in our ranches offspring. One other aspect of this legacy quest is to pass this endeavour onto our our own children and grandchildren. As with most producers we want to offer the best product we can. We also want that product to be affordable to Intermediate and Competitive riders or breeders. We believe we have attained that goal.

Many of our horses have been sourced from the USA because some of these bloodlines were hard to access in Canada. Now we have made them readily available  in Alberta.

If you take the time to browse our website we think you will agree.

Thank you for your interest.
